is a new collective of established South African multi-disciplinary artists
formed in May 2020 as a direct response to performance conditions resulting from
COVID-19. It is an experiment in what might be possible when live story-telling is less
prevalent in a physical theatre space.
Sylvaine Strike, James Cuningham, Iain 'Ewok' Robinson and Karen Logan have been independently creating pioneering theatre works in South Africa over the past 20 years. They have all performed internationally and won awards for their work as performers, directors, and theatre-makers. In May 2020 they joined together with animation wizards Hello Pocket to create Jigsaw for the Virtual National Arts Festival in South Africa, and with New Sound and Bottomside for technical broadcast expertise.
